Terms of Use

You accept these terms by tapping I agree in the app the first time you open it, again when you create an account, and again when we change them in a way that matters. The version you accepted is in the app under Settings → My account → Your agreements, where you can save or print it. ReelGainz is provided by ReelGainz LLC, a Utah limited liability company, 7533 S Center View Ct R, West Jordan, UT 84084, United States — support@reelgainz.com. How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy at reelgainz.app/privacy.

What ReelGainz is

ReelGainz turns a public Instagram workout reel into a workout you can follow and track. The reel always plays from Instagram, through Instagram's own player. The moves beside it are the ones you add — typed, or picked from the app's built-in list — or, for the starter workouts, the ones we wrote. Nothing reads the post, not its caption and not its video, and no AI is involved. The workouts you build are saved on your phone, not with us. ReelGainz is provided by ReelGainz LLC ("we", "us").

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Instagram or Meta, and we make no claim to any video, or to any creator whose work you follow through the app.

ReelGainz is offered in the United States (including Puerto Rico), Chile, Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras and Bolivia. It imports Instagram links and videos already on your phone, and nothing else. Links to other platforms, including YouTube, are not accepted. The app is available in English and Spanish. These terms are published in English and Spanish, and both versions are equally binding.

Train sensibly

ReelGainz is a tool for following workouts that other people posted publicly. It is not medical advice, it is not coaching, and nobody at ReelGainz has assessed whether any workout is safe or appropriate for you. The exercise lists in the app are the ones you typed or picked, or, for the starter workouts, ones we wrote. Nobody checks the lists you make, the ones we wrote are not coaching either, and any of them may not match what the video actually shows, or may be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable for your body, experience or health.

Exercise carries a real risk of injury and, in some circumstances, serious harm. Before starting any new program, consult a doctor, particularly if you are pregnant, have a heart condition, high blood pressure, joint or back problems, or any other medical condition. Stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, faintness or shortness of breath. Use equipment only as intended, and never train alone with heavy weights.

By using ReelGainz you accept that you train voluntarily and at your own risk, that you are responsible for judging whether a workout suits you, and that we are not liable for injury, illness or loss arising from exercise you chose to do. Rest timers, set counts and progress statistics are conveniences, not instructions.

Your account

You don't need an account to use ReelGainz: the subscription, your library, the player and Discover work without one. An account is optional; you need one to rate reels for everyone and to send reports. You can create one with Sign in with Apple (iPhone), Sign in with Google (Android), or a one-time code sent to your email (both). Your library, routines and history stay a file on your phone that we never receive; an account does not copy them anywhere, and signing out leaves them where they are. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your phone and your email secure.

You must be an adult to use ReelGainz: 18 or older, or 21 or older in Puerto Rico. The app asks your age, or uses the age range Apple or Google provides where the law requires it, and it stops anyone under that age before anything is sent. If we learn an account belongs to someone under that age, we delete it.

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → My account → Delete my account) or at reelgainz.app/delete-account. Deleting it from inside the app also erases, on your phone, your library, routines, workout history and any videos you added from your phone, and it cannot be undone; your settings stay. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. We may block an account that breaks these terms, for up to 5 years; if we do, we may tell you by email. If you think we got it wrong, email support@reelgainz.com.

Community rules

There's zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.

Discover has two sources: reels we picked ourselves, with titles and moves we wrote, and, as the community grows, the reels other people add. The second part only stays useful if people don't abuse it. Don't add or rate:

  • Anything sexual, violent, hateful, harassing, or targeting a person or group.
  • Content promoting disordered eating, unsafe weight loss, steroid or drug use, or unlicensed medical claims.
  • Spam, scams, advertising dressed up as workouts, or links that aren't the workout they claim to be.
  • Anything you don't have the right to point at, private or age-restricted posts, or content that isn't a workout at all.

Don't send false reports, and don't interfere with the service either: no scraping, no automated imports, no probing our servers, no attempts to bypass the subscription lock or a block, and no reverse-engineering the apps beyond what the law allows.

You agree to these rules when you tap I agree and when you create an account; they apply to everything you add, rate or report.

Sharing with the community is optional and separate from these terms: you choose it in the app, and you can stop at any time. If you share, the reels you add and your star ratings count in Discover; if you don't, adding a reel records nothing against you and your stars stay on your phone — adding one only asks our database whether it holds ready-made moves for that link (see the Privacy Policy). Stopping deletes what you shared.

What we screen. Only a link to an Instagram post, with at most a short label for its card, can reach Discover: the app refuses every other kind of link, and our database rejects anything that is not an Instagram address. There are no photos, comments, messages or public profiles, and nothing you type into a workout — no move or note — is sent to Discover. We automatically refuse words that break these rules in anything shown to other people, and Discover shows a label only when more than one person gave it. How much one account can add, rate or report in an hour is capped, a reel is counted once per person however often it is added, and it is not ranked by its stars until three different people have rated it. Beyond that, nobody watches a reel someone else adds before it appears in Discover; we act on what you report.

Reporting. Every workout card in Discover has a menu button — "…" on iPhone, "⋮" on Android — that asks Hide or report this workout? Hide this workout takes it out of your Discover on that phone at once, and for you alone. Reporting a reel hides it on your phone at once and sends it to us (or email support@reelgainz.com with the reel's link — sending a report from the app needs an account); we review every report within 24 hours and either remove the reel from Discover for everyone or keep it. A removed reel stays out of Discover even if the same link is added again, and that includes the reels we picked: the app stops showing one as soon as it next loads Discover.

Blocks. We may also block the account that added a reel that breaks these rules: a blocked account can no longer add, rate or report anything, its adds, ratings and reports are deleted, and signing up again with the same Apple or Google account or email address stays blocked, for up to 5 years.

If we remove something you added, the reel stops appearing in Discover, and what you saved on your own phone is untouched. If we remove something you added, we may tell you by email. If you think we got it wrong, email support@reelgainz.com with the reel's link and we will look at it again.

Reels and creators

We don't screen what you save. Your library is a file on your phone and every reel in it plays from Instagram, so we do not review what you add to it, we do not endorse it, and we cannot take it down. You choose what to add and you are responsible for it. Discover, which other people see, is different: see Community rules above.

We never copy, download or re-host a reel. Reels play through Instagram's own embed, which carries the creator's name and a tap through to their profile exactly as Instagram draws it, and "Open in Instagram" is one tap from the player. What you can watch, and for how long, is ultimately up to Instagram and the creator.

The reels we picked. ReelGainz comes with a starter set of public Instagram reels we chose, with titles, moves, sets, and reps or hold times we wrote. Discover's ready-made routines are built from them, Discover lists them as its workouts whenever the community feed can't be loaded, and "Explore with sample workouts" adds some of them to your library. We don't copy these either: they play through Instagram's own embed like any reel you paste. They are built into the app; if we remove one, the app stops showing it in Discover the next time it connects, and the next app update takes it out of the app. A copy already in someone's own library stays there.

Videos from your phone. You can add a video that is already on your phone and train from it. It stays on your phone: ReelGainz copies it into its own storage on the device, never uploads it, never shows it to anyone else, and deletes it when you delete the workout or your account. It is also kept out of your phone's backup, so a phone restored from that backup has the workout but not its video; the app copies the file rather than moving it, so the original is left where it was and you can add it again from there. A video can be up to 3 minutes long and 400 MB; anything longer or larger is refused. You are responsible for what you add; add only videos you have the right to use. A video you add cannot be shared through ReelGainz.

The workouts you build — titles, exercises, notes, tags and routines — are yours, and they live on your phone; we never receive them. If you share with the community, each Instagram reel you add allows us to store its public link against your account, with the short label shown on its Discover card if it has one, and to show in Discover how many people added it and how they rated it. You confirm you have the right to point to any reel you add.

If you are a creator and want a reel out of Discover, or believe content in the app infringes your rights, email support@reelgainz.com with the reel's link. We will remove it from Discover promptly, including one of the reels we picked. Copyright below says how removal works. Removing a reel from Discover does not remove it from the private libraries of people who already added it; those simply point at Instagram, and if you delete or restrict the post there it stops playing everywhere.

Trial and Pro

How ReelGainz is sold. ReelGainz Pro is an auto-renewing subscription at US$2.99 per month or US$24.99 per year, plus any applicable tax; prices in other currencies are set by the app stores and shown before you buy. Apple and Google add and collect the taxes that apply where you live — for example US sales tax, Puerto Rico's IVU and Chile's IVA. In Costa Rica your card issuer may add 13% IVA to a purchase made abroad. We don't charge any tax separately. There is no free tier: without an active subscription, opening the app shows the subscription screen and nothing else (after the age question, these terms, and the choice between Simple and Advanced mode on a fresh install).

The free trial. New subscribers get the first 7 days free as the subscription's introductory offer. You start it by subscribing through the App Store or Google Play, which asks for your store payment method; nothing is charged during the trial. Cancel at least 24 hours before your free trial ends and you pay nothing. If you do not cancel in time, the subscription converts to paid at the end of the trial and renews from then on. The trial gives you the whole app, exactly as Pro does. Apple and Google each allow one introductory offer per account for this subscription, so a second install does not start a second trial.

The 500-video and 50-routine limits. Two limits apply on every plan, trial and paid alike: your library holds up to 500 videos you add, and up to 50 routines you make or add. The starter workouts and starter routines don't count toward them. The one exception is sharing a reel into ReelGainz from another app on iPhone: that counts every video, starter workouts included, so a share can be refused a little before the limit. At either limit the app refuses to add another until you remove one; it never deletes anything to make room.

When a subscription ends. If you cancel or a renewal fails, Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for and then the app locks. Locking does not delete anything. Your videos, routines and history stay on your device exactly as you left them and are there again the moment Pro is active. From the locked screen you can still restore a purchase, read these Terms and our Privacy Policy, and delete your account and everything saved on the phone.

  • Billing and renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when the trial ends, or when you confirm a purchase with no trial. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
  • Canceling. The quickest route is inside ReelGainz: Settings → My account → Change or cancel, which opens your store's own subscription settings. Or go there directly — Settings app → your name → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions on Android. Deleting the app, or deleting your ReelGainz account, does not cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds. Purchases are made through Apple or Google, so refunds are requested from them under their policies and the law where you live; we cannot issue refunds directly. Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. Google: the Play Store's refund request. Your rights where you live, below, says what the law gives you.
  • Price changes. If we change the price of Pro, the store will notify you in advance and the new price applies only to renewals after you have had the chance to cancel.

Your library, your history and your routines never depend on your plan. A lapsed subscription locks the app; it never deletes anything.

Availability

Two things ReelGainz depends on are outside our control: Instagram serving the embed, and the creator leaving the post up and public. When a reel is deleted or made private, Instagram's player shows its own message where the video was. ReelGainz can't tell that has happened, but the workout you built from it stays in your library.

A reel you paste or share in usually saves with no moves on it, and that is not a failure — it plays, which is most of the point. (It arrives with moves only when our database already holds an exercise list for that link; see the Privacy Policy.) In Advanced mode you can add the moves whenever you like.

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of ReelGainz. If we ever shut the service down, we will give at least 30 days' notice on this website and in an update to the app, and your library remains on your device regardless.

Our rights and yours

The ReelGainz apps, website, name, logo and design are ours and protected by copyright and trademark law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the apps on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial fitness. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease any part of the service.

Everything you create in the app is yours. You grant us only the limited permissions described under Reels and creators, which end when you stop sharing or delete your account. What outlives your account carries nothing about your workouts: any report you filed, which stays in the moderation queue with nothing linking it to you; the record of what you agreed to, for 3 years; and, if we blocked the account, the block, for up to 5 years. The Privacy Policy says exactly what each of these holds.

Videos and creator handles belong to their creators and to Instagram. Nothing in these terms gives you or us any rights in them. If you hold rights in something that appears in Discover, Copyright above is how to reach us.

Your rights where you live

Nothing in these terms limits the rights your country's consumer law gives you.

  • Cancel the same way you subscribed: in the App Store or Google Play (Settings → My account → Change or cancel opens it).
  • Costa Rica: you may withdraw within 8 business days of subscribing (derecho de retracto), for the part of the service not yet provided.
  • Chile: you may withdraw within 10 days of subscribing (Ley 19.496 art. 3 bis); a refund covers the part of the service not yet provided.
  • Refunds: because Apple and Google sell and bill the subscription, refunds are requested from them (reportaproblem.apple.com; Google Play's refund request) — email support@reelgainz.com and we'll help.

The clauses that let us change or end the service on our own, and the limits on our liability, are: the paragraph of Availability that begins "We may change, suspend or discontinue", the whole of Warranty and liability, Changes, and the last paragraph of Train sensibly. On reelgainz.app they are set in bold.

Warranty and liability

ReelGainz is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any workout is safe, effective or correctly described by the moves listed for it.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for personal injury, lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of ReelGainz, from any workout you follow, or from content posted by creators or added by other users — whether in contract, tort or otherwise, even if we were told it was possible.

Our total liability to you for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period or US$50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties or liability to be excluded. In those places these limits apply only as far as the law permits, and nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from content you add to Discover, from your breach of these terms, or from your misuse of the service.

Disputes and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the consumer-protection law of your country of residence gives you rights that cannot be waived — those rights are not affected.

Talk to us first. If you have a dispute, email support@reelgainz.com and we will try to resolve it informally within 30 days. If we can't, either of us may bring a claim in the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah, and you consent to their jurisdiction; you may also bring a claim in small-claims court where you live, if it qualifies. If you live in Chile, Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras or Bolivia, you may also bring a claim before your country's consumer authority or courts.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about ReelGainz. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it.

Apple App Store terms

These apply to the iPhone app, which you get from Apple's App Store.

  • Who the agreement is with. These terms are between you and ReelGainz LLC only, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content.
  • Your license. Your license to the iPhone app is non-transferable and limited to using it on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as the Usage Rules in Apple's App Store terms allow.
  • Support. We are solely responsible for maintaining and supporting the app. Apple has no obligation at all to provide maintenance or support for it.
  • Warranty. If the app fails to meet any warranty that applies to it, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the price you paid for the app, if any, under its policies. To the fullest extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app, and any other claim, loss or cost arising from such a failure is ours to answer, not Apple's.
  • Claims about the app. We, not Apple, are responsible for dealing with any claim by you or anyone else relating to the app or your having or using it — including product-liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer-protection, privacy or similar laws.
  • Intellectual property. If anyone claims that the app, or your having or using it, infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling and resolving that claim.
  • Export and sanctions. You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Other people's terms. When you use the app you must also follow any third-party terms that apply to you, such as your mobile network provider's.
  • Apple can enforce these terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and once you accept them Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

Changes

We may change these terms. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll show the new version in the app and ask you to agree before it applies to you, and publish it here at least 14 days before it takes effect, with earlier versions linked below. If you don't agree, you can cancel your subscription in the App Store or Google Play and delete your account.
