Delete your account

The fastest way is in the app

Deletion is built in and takes effect straight away — you don't need to email anyone or wait for us.

1. iPhone or Android, either mode: Settings → My account → Delete my account (at the bottom), then Delete my account on the next screen, and confirm with Delete everything.
2. If you aren't subscribed (your subscription ended, or you never started one): the subscription screen the app shows you has Delete my account and everything saved.
3. If you are signed out, the app asks you to sign in first so it can find the account. If you never made one, Erase this phone only erases what's on the phone — there is nothing about you on our servers to delete.

It cannot be undone, and we have no copy of your videos, routines or history to bring back. Your subscription is separate — see Your subscription below.

Without the app

Already deleted the app, or can't get in? Email privacy@reelgainz.com from the email address on your ReelGainz account with the subject Delete my ReelGainz account.

If you used Sign in with Apple with a hidden address (Hide My Email), write from any address and tell us; we'll confirm through the relay address. We confirm and delete within 5 business days and reply when it's done.

Only joined the beta list on this website? Email privacy@reelgainz.com from that address and we'll remove it.

What gets deleted

• Your account and its sign-in identities (Apple, Google or email).
• Its profile and plan rows.
• The reels you added, your ratings and the move lists you shared.
• On the phone (when you delete in the app): your library, the videos you added from your phone, routines, workout history, notes, ratings, hidden reels, the reel player's cookies and cache, and your reminders.

Your settings — Simple or Advanced, light or dark, kg or lb — stay as you left them. The workout names, moves, notes and tags you type never leave your phone, so there is nothing of them on our side to delete.

What stays, and why

• Reports you filed stay in the moderation queue, with nothing linking them to you. A flag about harmful content belongs to the queue; the person behind it doesn't need to.
• The record of what you agreed to — the event, the versions and the time; no email address and nothing about your workouts — for 3 years after deletion, to show we asked.
• A block, if we placed one: the account's ID, the date and a short reason, and a keyed hash of its Apple or Google account ID and email address — pseudonymised data, which still counts as personal data — for up to 5 years, so a blocked person can't simply sign up again.
• Encrypted database backups for up to 7 days. They are never used to restore an individual account.
• Sign-in code emails in our email provider's logs for up to 30 days.
• Request logs, including IP addresses, for up to 7 days.
• Emails you sent to support@, privacy@ or copyright@ and our replies, for 3 years.
• Your phone's own iCloud or Google backups, which we can't reach. The app doesn't keep your library out of them, so a backup made before you deleted can still hold it; videos you added from your phone are left out of them.

Sign in with Apple

Deleting in the app also revokes ReelGainz's access to your Apple ID when you confirm with Apple. If you skipped that step: Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple → ReelGainz → Delete. On older iOS versions: Settings → your name → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple → ReelGainz → Stop Using Apple ID.

Your subscription

Deleting your account doesn't cancel your subscription. Cancel it first in the App Store or Google Play if you don't want to keep paying. The quickest way there is in the app: Settings → My account → Change or cancel. Or go to the store directly:

• iPhone: Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → ReelGainz → Cancel.
• Android: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → ReelGainz → Cancel.

The subscription belongs to your Apple ID or Google account, so Restore a purchase brings it back if you start again.
